Book 3

 i'm glad my mom die

The writer tells it with simple and short sentences, never indifferent to the reader. She talks, for example, about the number of times she weighed herself per day (minimum five) and the lack of menstruation she suffered for years. But perhaps the most terrifying is the account he makes of the cleaning ceremonies of his body. Until the age of 16, Jennette was in charge of bathing her mother.

It was she whoshampooed and soaped her from head to toe, even passing through her private parts. It was she who waxed his legs. And who would start crying when one of his children asked him if he could bathe alone, even if it was for the only time. This portrayal is one of the strongest in all of history, and it leaves you with a sour taste in your mouth for the rest of the book. Jennette's salvation came through writing.

The book is very good and I recommend it, it was very good to read it in English and learn more
